Princess is a special pup who is currently available for adoption and ready to find her forever home. Her journey hasn’t been easy, as she was hit by a car and ended up in a shelter. Thankfully, a rescue stepped in to save her from euthanasia and rushed her to a Veterinary Surgical Hospital. … Princess underwent immediate surgery to mend her fractured pelvis and leg, which were successfully pinned. During her time in foster care, Princess was confined to a large crate/pen to allow her fractures to heal. The progress she has made is truly remarkable, and she can now run and jump without any limitation or discomfort. Princess is a young Maltese mix, estimated to be around 10-12 months old and weighing 11 lbs. She has a vibrant and outgoing personality, filled with energy and enthusiasm. Princess thoroughly enjoys playing with other small dogs, children, and adults. However, older dogs may not be as fond of her lively and rambunctious behavior. She delights in playing with dog toys and even entertains herself by throwing them from the sofa and fetching them. It’s important to provide Princess with puppy chew toys, as she may resort to chewing household items if not provided with appropriate outlets for her chewing needs. While Princess is making progress with her house training, she still requires further assistance and a consistent routine to fully master it. Due to her tendency to bark loudly at strangers or unfamiliar voices, a home without shared walls (like an apartment or condo) would be more suitable for her. Despite her energetic nature, Princess has a loving and affectionate personality. She seeks out affection and enjoys being caressed and petted. In the evenings, she happily cuddles next to her foster mom or another dog for a peaceful nap while her foster family watches television.
