Skipper

About Skipper

Skipper now lives in Wayside Waifs. He can live in apartments and does not require fenced in yard. He appears to be housetrained at wayside and can go home with other dogs. He must meet adopter’s current dog(s) before going home. He can go home with children 6 or older. He must meet all family members before going home. Some of Wayside’s pets are eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period pre-adoption. Slumber Pawty is not eligible. “Hi, I’m Skipper, I was removed from a bad situation and brought here. All of this new world is a little overwhelming to me. I am a super sweet three year old. I am a dog who is so enthusiastic about cuddling that I just can’t contain myself! After what I’ve been through, I’m just trying to make up for lost time. I really want nothing more than to hang out by your side and play. I don’t seem to know any commands. So, I will need some help with leaning what I should know. I love treats and would be willing to do whatever you want for some. I do tend to jump on folks when I am excited; so, it would be best not to have real little ones at home. I like interacting with other dogs but am a little under socialized. I was pretty awkward meeting new dogs when I first arrived, but I think I get it now. I am pretty low energy so we sniff a little, may do a little running and chasing but mostly just hanging together. I love people and love to go for walks. I am easy to leash. We could go exploring together, then come back and relax. I would love to get to know you better. Will you stop by and say hi? Love, Skipper.” Please call our Adoptions Department if you are interested in this animal to make certain he/she is still available for adoption! ADOPTION INFORMATION: All Wayside Waifs pets are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations prior to adoption. Please note that in order to make the best match possible, potential adopters must come to the Wayside Waifs in person to meet with an adoption counselor and complete the adoption process. All members of the household (including other pets, if possible) should be present to ensure the chosen pet is compatible with everyone. We do not place holds or do adoptions over the phone and we do not ship pets.
