ALVIN

About ALVIN

United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue. Alvin (#A5566314) is a superb 2-year-old black and brown male German Shepherd who was found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 10. Weighing 72 lbs Alvin is a breed ambassador with all the qualities that German Shepherd lovers want. He’s very smart and quick to learn, and will bond closely to his person or family. Recommended for the Gentle/Dainty playgroup, he’s ok with large dogs and when a smaller dog walked behind him in the yard he didn’t react at all. A big boy who needs training on leash, Alvin already knows “sit” and “shake/paw”, so we are confident he will quickly catch on to the routine and commands he needs to know to fit into the home. For playtime he enjoys a good game of chase, and Alvin’s dream home would be one where he gets daily exercise, attention and companionship from his people, and has a cozy indoor bed to spend the night.
