Watson

Watson is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu that was surrendered to our local animal control when he owner could no longer care for him. He was quite a matted mess so he had to be shaved down. His hair is growing out and he is quite a handsome guy. He has added some much needed weight and is about 13.2 lbs. … now. He is house broken and crate trained although he really doesn’t need to be crated. He loves people and dogs. Cats we are not sure of but if they run he will chase them. He has done well with the kids he has met. He loves to be outside and loves to run. He has a fair amount of energy and loves to walk, chase a ball, run, play tug o war and whatever else you want to do. While he likes to be with people, we would not consider him a lap dog. He loves to play with other dogs and would like a dog in the home that would run and wrestle with him. He would love a fenced in yard. While not required, it would be a big plus. He would greatly benefit from an obedience class as it appears his former owner did not instill basic manners in him. He loves to go places and rides well in the car. Our adoption fee is $350 for dogs over 6 months of age and includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, micro-chip implantation and registration/transfer, heartworm test and much more. Puppies up to 6 months of age are $400 and this includes all age-appropriate puppy vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip implantation and registration and more. Please note: Foster Pet Outreach tries to limit our adoptions to an area within approximately 60 miles of Peoria, Illinois.
