Tigger

About Tigger

Tigger was relinquished due to his owner having housing issues. We haven’t had him long, but what we know so far… he’s a timid, skittish dog – has not been well socialized. He needs a strong handler, as he tends to try and bolt when startled. The foster has kept a leash on him at all times… he has already run away once. Luckily the leash snagged on something and they were able to get him. He will need someone patient to give him time to warm up to them. He is half Chow and many of them get attached to one person. He doesn’t seem to know his name. He is good with the fosters female dog (a bit larger than him) and her cat. We have not seen any aggression from him – he’s just scared. He loves to go for walks and walks well on a leash – but just hold on tight! Update – sleeping photo added of him starting to trust his foster. FOCCAS is a foster home based rescue group in Coos Bay, Oregon (on the Oregon Coast). FOCCAS animals are not located in a shelter; they are in our homes, being treated like our own pets. Adoptions are available by appointment, on a case-by-case basis. Application is required and not “first come, first served.” we strive to make the best match between family and pet.
