Please welcome Scooter and Princess to Rescue Row! They are 1-year-old Heeler mixes pulled from a rural shelter in Brady, TX when they were about 7 weeks old. They are crate trained, potty trained and are looking for amazing homes! They do not need to be adopted together. Their foster mom has this … to say about them. Scooter is a very sweet cuddle bug and loves to puppy play with his sister. He is very smart and a good listener and obeys when asked to stop or come. He loves to play with toys, especially stuffed animals. He has not been cat tested but gets along with kids and all other dogs. He would love to become a part of your family. Princess is a little shyer but loves to play too. She loves to be petted and, sometimes, can be a little pushy to get attention, just to make sure you notice her and give her some love. You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a home check. Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee. Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee. Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all-volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
