Say hello to Rose, the current favorite golden girl at the DTR rescue! And it’s no surprise why she’s stealing hearts – she’s incredibly cute! While Rose is reported to be a miniature poodle, we want to be transparent that her background is from a commercial breeding farm, so we can’t guarantee … she’s purebred or hypoallergenic/non-shedding. Given her past as a commercial breeder, it’s understandable that she may still feel a bit nervous, but with a little time and patience, we have no doubt she’ll open up and blossom. She absolutely adored her luxurious spa treatment, complete with a groom and bath, so potential adopters should be prepared for ongoing grooming needs. From housebreaking to leash walking, Rose will benefit from some training, but she’s eager to learn and will become your most loyal friend once she builds trust. She gets along well with other dogs, as she’s lived with many and often enjoys the company of her golden girl friends at the adoption center. Rose was surrendered with two of her sisters, who are also looking for their forever homes (separately). She’s comfortable in a crate, which can make transitioning to a new environment easier. Rest assured, Rose’s adoption fee covers all of her vet care, including recent bloodwork, heartworm and tick borne disease testing, and up-to-date preventatives.
