MAX

About MAX

United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue. #A5537084 Max is a cautious 3-year-old black and brown neutered male German Shepherd who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on March 1st as an owner surrender. Weighing 65 lbs, Max is a beautiful dog who looks purebred, and he’s not sure how he ended up here. Eager to bond with his forever person or family, Max is a bit uncertain with new people and situations right now. He needs confidence building as he’s overwhelmed, but once he has time to relax with his handler he is able to build trust. A member of the Gentle/Dainty playgroup, Max is required to go to a home where any other dogs are calm and we think he would be happiest without unpredictable young children who might startle him. He’s good on leash, shows signs of housebreaking, and knows sit. A very intelligent boy, Max will show his true personality once he has time to relax and feel safe in his home, and we recommend a home where he is given patience to come out of his shell on his own time. For more information on this pet, contact volunteer UHA Adoption Coordinator Lisa at [email protected].
