About Doughnut
Your search for the perfect Doughnut is over. She’s right here and she is an absolute gem of a beagle. Doughnut is the perfect combination of beauty and sweetness. And she can sit pretty and high 5. Doughnut is a 30-pound beagle packed into a 42-pound body and about 5 years old. With a healthy diet … and regular exercise she should slim down pretty easily. We can’t figure out why on earth anyone would dump this girl but she was an owner surrender at a rural shelter and was scheduled for euthanasia. If you know us, you know we can’t say no to beagles, so we agreed to take her in and find her a loving home. Doughnut loves everyone, making friends wherever she goes. She adores kids and is great with other dogs. She’s new to the rescue but appears to be housebroken. She’s in good shape other than her weight. She’s scheduled for a dental cleaning in a few weeks. Standard beagle rules apply, Doughnut needs a physically fenced yard to keep her from following her beagle nose into trouble. If you’d like to meet Doughnut, please fill out a dog adoption application. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.
