Cooper

Cooper is located in Fayetteville, NC, a 3-year-old (we think) Golden retriever mix male and about 50 lbs. He does extremely well at the dog park and on a leash, but isn’t around other dogs regularly. He’s a pretty lazy couch potato, but he will play and be active if engaged. He is rehoming due to … landlord requests. We’ve had cooper for about 7 months. We adopted him from a family off pet finder. We are his third home. No specific needs or issues He’s never bitten any people or other animals. He loves playing with stuffed animals. He eats about two cups a day of Purina One. Once in the morning and once in the evening. He is neutered. He is good on rabies until next year, but is behind on other shots and heartworm prevention. Unsure if he’s ever been crate trained, but he is house trained and does very well home alone. He doesn’t destroy things and has never used the bathroom inside. No special diet. His is good with other dogs in neutral grounds. I’m unsure about if he’s ok with cats and livestock. He gets light exercise daily. Yes, he’s well behaved with all kinds of people. Aside from barking if someone comes to the door, he is not overly protective. He’s rarely home alone. If he is, he’s inside and is alone for twoish hour’s tops. Cooper either sleeps on the sofa or his dog bed. He doesn’t need any medication. He likes to escape out the yard. He never runs away, but he does break out. He does very well on a leash. He knows “sit”, “lay down”, “paw”, and “other paw”. He doesn’t like to be groomed or bathed. He rides very well in a car. No signs of animal abuse. He shows no signs of timidness or aggression. He does incredibly well with kids, he’s very patient with them. I think he would do well with another dog in the house or an active family.
