Anna

About Anna

“Hello! My name is Anna and I am a small 14-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix weighing in at 21 lbs. I have long beautiful legs and a fluffy coat when it grows out. Due to reasons beyond my control, I was surrendered by my owner who had me my whole life. I have had regular vet care over the years and am very, very healthy! I do not take any medications or need a special diet. I can bounce up the steps like a puppy! I can’t hear very well anymore though, so I am learning hand signals to help me understand what is happening. I am excellent with all dogs and I even like my foster mom’s guinea pigs. I can’t remember how I am with cats though – as my foster home doesn’t have one, but based on my carefree attitude, I’m pretty sure we would be friends. I would love to go to a home with other laid-back dogs who can keep me company and show me the ropes. I am crate trained, but since I have been in my foster home, I haven’t been in it once and I love roaming around free. I don’t eat shoes or tear anything up – but I will steal your food if you leave it out. I can’t resist a good cheeseburger. I am super good at walking on a leash and love to get outside for a casual stroll or a quick zoomie. My potty training is coming along well. Being in a new house and never crated, I had to learn where all the doors are and step up my bladder game. Sometimes I will forget, but I am on the right track! If I had to pick my perfect new home, I would like it to have older kids and another dog(s). I would like to have someone home with me all day of course, but if not, I am good at sleeping the hours away while you are at work. I’m spayed, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and I have a dental cleaning appt scheduled. Old dogs need love, too! Apply now!” To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc.) a $100 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs. We do not ship dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we cannot easily take or make phone calls.
