About Tuckerman

We all know that opposites attract. Do you have a calm environment for a handsome, intelligent, exuberant dog? Tuckerman is currently in counseling to help him find his zen. He’s discovering a lot about his personality, likes, and dislikes. He likes calm dogs. He dislikes cats. His personality is energetic so it’s advised that any members of the family be teens and older. Tuckerman gets cozy in his crate but does request a potty break after a few hours. He was born with a deformity of a single paw but it doesn’t slow him down. Stalking stuffies and chasing balls are all part of this sweet pups day. Tuckerman is working on being the best boy he can be and wants to share his love and zest for life with a furever family. To be Tuckerman’s dream come true fill out an application. We are a 501C3 non-profit Holistic Dog Rescue established in September of 2021 and located in Houston, TX. We have available transport for adopters in New England, British Columbia, and Pacific North West. Our dogs are saved from our shelter partners who struggle in small/underfunded kill shelters and we are happy to assist them with saving dogs off the euthanasia list and finding amazing families to love them. These protocols consist of complete vetting unless adopter chooses to opt out of spay/neuter before 6 months. In this case a contract is signed with a commitment to do so after adoption. We partner with Common Sense Dog Training located here in Houston, TX and they do a complete behavioral assessment of each dog. Because we believe each dog’s family deserves support beyond adoption they also offer a zoom call when the dog arrives to help with first intros with children and other dogs. As well as offering additional zoom training at the cost of the adopter. Since they have already worked with each dog down here we feel this is a great addition to pre adoption assessments. We are blessed to have a Licensed Veterinarian and Vet Technician who work exclusively with Reclaimed Paws to provide individualized plans for each. Adoption Fee: Dogs under 6 months $550; Dogs over 6 months $450. What vetting includes: • DAPP- Protects against Canine Distemper Virus. Canine Adenovirus types 1&2, Canine Parainfluenza Virus, & Canine Parvovirus. • Bordetella- (Kennel Cough Vaccine)- Protects against Canine Kennel Cough. • Rabies- Starting at 16 weeks of age to protect against Rabies • Heartworm Test – All dogs over 6 months of age. FOR ADOPTERS IN MAINE: A Snap 4DX Test is required. Heartworm test must be negative and Ehrlichia results will be noted on Health certificate. • One month supply of Heartworm and Flea/Tick medication (Heartguard or Iverhart and Advantage II) • All dogs are spay/neutered unless otherwise discussed with adoption coordinator (for a later date) • One month supply of Life 9 Probiotic, 15 Inner Defense and 15 Packets of Ningxia Red Juice. We use a Zyto Biofeedback scanner to help us understand the specific needs of each dog. During a zoom call with Judy to discuss results of scan as well as what additional oils/supplements might be beneficial to the dog being adopted. That zoom call will be scheduled once adoption is finalized. We offer reference letters from adopters in your area to better understand the adoption process. We feel this helps potential adopters to put their mind at ease and also set expectations from both rescue and adopter.
