Tucker

Tucker is a 3-year-old, neutered male lab mix and weighs about 40 lbs. He’s micro-chipped and vaccinated, plus he’s heartworm negative and on heartworm & flea/tick prevention. He can be high energy while active and playing, but settles in nicely to home life. A former foster said he loved being in … the room with her and just laying on his bed and chewing on his toys. He loved going for walks and meeting new people. He’s been great around children of all ages. He even tested well with cats. Tucker does need to be in a home where he is the only dog. He’s dominant and pushy even with submissive dogs. He has some separation anxiety (doesn’t like being kenneled) and would do best in a home where someone is there a lot (retired, works from home, gone just a few hours at a time, etc). He would even be great as a truck driver’s dog (we would love to see Tucker travel updates). Tucker’s adoption fee is $25. He also comes with a 4-week basic obedience course with our friends at B & A Dog Training. He has excelled in previous training courses, but we like to offer this because it is such a great bonding experience for both dogs and owners alike. He would also love to advance to some agility classes!
