Shiloh

About Shiloh

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: [email protected]. Approved applicants can meet the Shiloh at her foster home in Gaithersburg. Adoption coordinator: Lindsay. Adoption fee is $475, which includes spay/neuter and microchip. Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts! Shiloh’s estimated weight full grown will be 40-45 lbs. She is good with other dogs and also happy on her own. She would do best with another adult dog, more relaxed and less interested in lots of playing. Shiloh’s current foster home has cats and so far she has ignored them and doesn’t seem interested. Shiloh can be jumpy and will need someone to help teach her to sit for treats. We would recommend children 12 years and older. She is ready to learn commands! She is very content and interested in training and walks. So far she’s been busy being a mama dog (nursing, caring for her pups, and resting) so she’ll be ready to learn! Shiloh is housetrained and knows to do her business outside. She has not been crated but is content in her own space with her pups. She likes attention from humans, playing, being outside. She is a pretty outgoing girl, but not much of a wrestler/player with other dogs. Shiloh came to us from a rural shelter in SW VA. She was extremely pregnant and delivered 6 pups on August 17. She has been a great mama to her puppies and is ready to find her own home! She is in great health and seems to have been well cared for. She is loving and friendly, and apart from some puppy behaviors (jumping, getting excited), she is a great girl. HT adoption inclusions: Spay/neuter, first 3 distemper series, vaccines & de-wormings, microchip – lifetime with no registration fees, current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. Exclusive adopter benefits covers free first exam with: Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Jermantown Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care and all VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA offers $250 coverage – details provided), and free online workshop with a professional dog trainer at Fur-Get Me Not within the first 30 days of adopting (in DC/Arlington/Alexandria only). A portion of every adoption fee supports spay/neuter for animals in under-resourced communities.
