Sevey

About Sevey

Sevey (pronounced like seven) found himself on the last call list at the shelter this summer. With 7 minutes to spare, Saving Hope stepped up and saved this sweetie. He came to us heartworm positive but has completed his treatment and is ready to find his forever home. Sevey is a male, 2-year-old, lab mix. He weighs around 70 lbs and is neutered. He’s done well with all the dogs he’s encountered, including his golden and Pyrenees foster sisters. He’s also been friendly with cats and smaller dogs. Sevey is housebroken and crate trained. It’s not his favorite, but he knows to go in the crate when his foster mom is away at work. He does have some separation anxiety and we are working on his manners, but he’s come a long way from his shelter days. Sevey has puppy energy, but most of the time you’ll find him curled up on the couch or on the floor next to his foster mom. He hasn’t been around children, but because of his size and energy, he would probably do better with older children. Sevey is a sweetie and has lots of love to give! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application. It doesn’t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don’t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue! Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Pacific Northwest… with stops in – Lacey, WA, Tukwila, WA, and Portland, OR. These dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. Our out of state adoption fee is $550 for adults and $650 for puppies. This fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm and flea preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, insurance for 30 days, microchip with registration, health certificate, and transport costs. As a Saving Hope direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call. The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
