About Ruby
Miss Ruby came to us from a breeding farm in PA. She has had more litters than we can only imagine in her short life. She is not looking back on that old life and is ready for her happily ever after in a home where she can rest by the air conditioner and be loved. She is a sweet girl and would love … to be a companion to children 8 years and older, to spoil her and give her attention. What better life to have in your senior years than a family to love you? Ruby is a big girl but could lose a little bit of weight and get her body back in shape from years of neglect. She may be able to live with a male dog companion her size but no small pets of any kind. If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog, please complete an application. Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. We are happy to work with you. For example, if you don’t have a fence, we can help find alternatives and/or a dog that will do well without a fence. A home visit is required prior to adoption/fostering. You can visit the malamute(s) once you’ve completed the process. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how rewards-based training brings out the best in malamutes. CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC. Adoption fees: – Senior dogs (8+ years old): $100.00. – Adult dogs (2 years up to 8): $300.00. – Puppies (6 months – 2 years): $350.00. -Puppies under 6 months: $375. All Malamutes are micro-chipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Puppy fees are higher due to more vet visits and vaccines. The adoption fee helps us cover these costs. CHAAMP is comprised of volunteers covering a 7-state region. We are not a shelter. CHAAMP is a Rescue Affiliate Member of the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL). CHAAMP is also a proud rescue member of the Pet Professional Guild. We say no thank you to Shock, Prong, Choke, Pain, Force & Fear. We understand safety is important to prevent being pulled by malamutes who were born to pull. We are happy to share options and other equipment to help you both be safe.
