Roxy

Roxy just turned 1 year old (birthdate 8/19/2022)! She is a French Bulldog and weighs about 26lbs. She has gorgeous soft and shiny black coat with flecks of brindle, and the cutest pouty face you’ll ever see! She is not a picky eater who loves kibble, fresh strawberries from the garden, watermelon, … baby carrots…anything safe for dogs! She is bubbly and spunky, loves to run around, play tug, and wrestle. She also loves cuddles and kisses and loves bombing! Her perfect day is eating, playing, napping, wrestling, more eating, running, running some more, going on walks and smelling the flowers, and watching the wild turkeys jump around. The world fascinates her! Please fit in belly rubs. Her favorite toy is her foster brothers, and a Bene-bone. She knows Sit, Here, No and Leave it. Her best talent is the high jump, and pretty sure she’ll be taking home the gold in the next Olympics. Make sure all fences are at least 40” or higher for her. A world without food will scary her. She is a bit fearless otherwise. She has been around children who are so fun, but may be better with ages 10+ just because she tends to love bomb her humans and she may accidentally bulldoze someone while she parkours around the place. She hasn’t met a cat in person yet, but she never barks at them when we pass them on our walks. She loves other dogs! She loves playing with all her fellow foster puppies and meeting new ones! She just want to next to her humans and exploring the world! She may be working on her shoe collection. She is very healthy! She has one cherry eye that didn’t fully heal after surgery, but it is not causing any health problems! She lives with 3 adults: her foster mama, grandma, and human brother. She also has 2 medium-sized resident dogs, and 4 other fosters! Her favorite human is foster mama. But her closest companion is Billy, another foster Frenchie. They play tag inside and outside for hours to wear our energy down. They also wrestle and play tug nicely with toys. Safely in her crate, she never cries in there unless she needs to potty. She sleep well through the night and take her naps in there. She also eats in the crate! She is such a good girl on leash and loves walks! Please take her exploring! Except in the heat, she prefers the AC please. Her foster mama says her high jumps to get over security gates are a bad habit; however, she say they are an untapped talent. She will steal your heart, and then steal your shoes because she believes they look better outside, it’s just part of the deal. She uses the doggy door all by herself! She has had zero accidents in the house in over 5 months! She is a pretty smart girl! She loves to drink water and will tolerate bathing in it. She also loves the cool misters during the summer, those are fun to run through and drink from! She loves having people and other dogs to play with. She loves taking on walks to explore new places. And she loves that everyone loves her just as she is. Roxy was surrendered by a breeder because she developed cherry eye in both eyes. This rescue has loved and cared for me so much!
