PEPPER

Please read the following information and requirements for adoption. Pepper is in foster care in Houston, Texas. This adorable girl is approx. 6 years old and 35 lbs. She is a little on the chubby side and could do to lose some weight. She was tested positive for heartworms when we rescued her and … has been treated with the AHS required number of shots and we usually find that the dogs test negative in 4 to 6 months she is also on a monthly heartworm preventative. We did a DNA test on Pepper and she is mainly Australian cattle dog with 13 other breeds mixed in… She is a really well behaved dog and hangs out most of the time on her own. She really doesn’t like to play very much with the other rescues, but occasionally will join in to a game of tag she has a great disposition and loves people. She will follow her foster everywhere and she would do great as an only dog or with a couple of laid back buddies. Our rescue policy – It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only. We require vet records on your current or past dog for our review. Records must show the potential adopter as the owner. The total adoption fee of $600 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport, spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper, canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
