Nina

Nina is an 8-year-old, spayed female Chihuahua Mix, weighing about 15 pounds. Adoption fee is $300 (altered, vaccines up to date, micro-chipped, vet checked, dental). With introduction she is good with other dogs, does well with cats and is older dog savvy, so no young children. Nina has moderate … energy level. Nina is a super sweet, happy girl who loves people. She seems to (possibly) prefer males (follows her foster Daddy everywhere). She gets along with all 6 dogs in her foster home. Nina does like to “hoard” the Nyla bones and “growls” when one of the other dogs gets too close (somewhat of a game to her). She loves to sleep under the covers next to her human. She is completely housebroken. Nina does not use the (super large) dog door in her foster home but will let you know when she has to go potty. Nina rarely barks but does join in when the other dogs are barking or she hears a neighbor’s dog barking but does stop when asked. She loves car rides and is excellent in the car when traveling long distances. Nina is a touch overweight so would benefit from walks, weather permitting. She loves toys but will need “chew proof” since she tends to want to eat what she tears off instead of spitting it out. Other than toys she is not destructive at all. Nina was diagnosed with a mild case of heartworm after she was surrendered for a second time so she will need to be on heartworm medication for the rest of her life. Since Nina has been bounced around (3 times that we know of) her foster mom wants her next home to be her forever home and will only consider a “perfect fit” home for Nina.
