Nelly

About Nelly

Nervous Nelly seeks an experienced, patient home to help her overcome fearfulness and build confidence. While her past remains a mystery, she’s a quick-to-bond sweetheart who adores walking. With trust, she blossoms, promising a loving companion for those willing to offer understanding and support. Adopting a nervous dog can be a rewarding experience, but it also comes with its challenges. Nelly is nervous around other dogs. She should be introduced slowly to dogs and rewarded for relaxed behaviour and play. It’s best until she is settled into a new environment with an owner(s) getting to know her, that she joins an active home with no other pets and/or children. It’s recommended to provide Nelly with a calm and consistent routine that includes plenty of regular exercise. Use positive reinforcement techniques to reward Nelly for good behavior. Treats, praise, and gentle petting can go a long way in building her confidence. Gradually expose Nelly to the things that make her anxious in a controlled and positive way. Pair these exposures with treats and praise to create positive associations. With love, patience, and the right approach, she can become a happy and well-adjusted member of your family. Nelly is a black and white girl, 21.4kg and 2 years old.
