Milo (Foster or Foster-to-Adopt)

Milo is looking for a family to give him a wonderful home of his own! This sweet looking boy was surrendered to Canine Haven due to a change in life circumstances with his previous owner. He is currently with our board-and-train facility where he has been decompressing and learning what it means to … be a dog again. Milo has shown some resource guarding behaviors in the past, but he has not shown any of these issues at the board and train as he is fed in his crate and keeps his toys in his own space. He does have the potential to claim his person, so this is something that will need to be watched for in his new home. He has some mild separation anxiety and will need ongoing support and training to continue his progress with this. Milo is a very sweet cockapoo who loves to snuggle but he also needs a family who will respect his personal space when he requests it. He has been known to bite in the past when his space is not respected, however he is learning to give warning signs at the board and train facility. Milo gets super excited when he has the chance to make new human friends, and absolutely loves every opportunity to go for walks and explore new sights and smells.
