Milo

Milo was a formerly stray pup who is now looking for a safe forever home to call his own. He’s around 3 years old and weighs just under 50 pounds. Once taken into rescue, Milo was neutered and brought up to date on vetting. He is heartworm positive which is being treated by the rescue. Milo is a … good boy who loves car rides and is mastering sit & stay. He likes playing and is good with other dogs. He’s crate trained and does well sleeping in his kennel with no accidents. Milo is so grateful for this second chance at life. Let’s give him a good one! If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please complete an application. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue’s vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months – $350. Dogs over 12 months – $250. Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
