Mae

Mae was taken to the shelter after her previous owner had to go to the hospital and could no longer care for her. Mae is about 7 years old and weighs about 19 pounds. Mae was extremely overweight at 29 pounds when we got her. She’s lost some weight and feels much better. She loves to do zoomies … around the yard, and rolling around in the yard. Mae loves to play with toys and will dig through the doggie toy box to find toys. She does very good going outside to potty, and knows how to use a pet door. She gets along with other dogs and does well around cats. Mae is a talker. She barks when people come and sounds a little scary, but she’s just barking for attention. She is a little food aggressive and needs to be fed separately from other pets. Mae would love a home where she can be kept active and fed properly, so she won’t gain weight again. In order to adopt, you need to send an e-mail to [email protected] asking for an application. After you send this back, we will check references and someone will visit you in your home to discuss adoption. We ask a donation of $400 for adults, and $450 for puppies. This covers shots, spay/neuter, and any medical treatment when needed, such as de-worming, dental, heartworm treatment, and repairing broken bones. We do not ship our Pomeranians, but an out-of-state adoption can still happen if the adopter comes to the Houston, TX area to pick up their Pom.
