Joss is 1-2 years old and weighs about 40lbs. She is a Pit mix, crate trained and is working on potty training. She is dog friendly and will need a male with similar play style. She is kid friendly but very rambunctious and can be mouthy. She’s a sour patch kid. First she’s sour, then she’s sweet. … Joss won us, and many others over, with her Chicago Animal Care and Control handling video. A used and abused momma, who sought affection and approval. Anyone who watched her handling video would immediately want to save her. That’s what we did. And then she turned into a psycho. Bitch had us all fooled. Joss is young! Way younger than we thought, considering her saggy nips. Joss needs manners and exercise. She’d likely do well with a male with a similar energy who wants to play a lot. As with most young and energetic dogs, Joss can be mouthy and rambunctious. She does settle with toys and will spend time chewing her favorites. But then she gets the zoomies and will knock anything in sight over. A young idiot who will benefit from time, patience, exercise, and training. She really is an incredibly sweet girl who will piss you off one second, and then cuddle herself right in/on your lap to make you remember why you wanted her to begin with.
