Jamee

Jamee arrived in Kansas City after his family moved and left him behind. He is a sweet boy who follows the human everywhere as he decompresses from a short stay at a shelter where his time was up, a very long car ride to a house with two older canines who would prefer to be ignored. In our short … time together, he is displaying his best traits, showing off his house manners; no accidents or marking and waiting for permission to get on the couch. He enjoyed a long bath standing still and washing away all stink, fear and sadness. Jamee knows to sit for treats and takes them gently. He loves toys, tossing them all about, and zooming through the yard. We are working on fetch as he is a smart and curious boy. He is kennel trained for human time away from the house, daytime naps and sleeping through the night without a peep. He walks well on a leash (more training is always a plus) and is corrected easily for unwanted behavior. He’s got energy, drive and determination to please the human. Jamee cannot get enough of humans and playful dogs. He’s looking for his best friend and forever family. Approximate Birthdate: 1/7/2023. Adoption Fee: $200. TARA’s adoption fee includes spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA’s pets are all eligible for a two-week trial. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds. For more information please fill out an application.
