“Hello there, I’m Izzy. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My owner in Alabama passed away. Very sad for me, but both of my fosters tell me that I seem to be adapting well. In fact, they both commented that I am perfect in every way, and that a family would be fortunate to adopt me. While … that is a lot to live up to, I try my best. I am fully potty trained, and I walk to the door when I need to do my business. I love my naps on the couch, snuggling with my humans. Taking walks in the park easily trumps the naps, though. The sights and smells are invigorating. I sleep in my kennel at night and when my foster mom leaves the house. The kennel is right next to her bed. She asks Alexa to play calm and relaxing music and I drift right off to sleep. I am told that I am a minimal barker. I try to be a good roommate to my foster sister. She isn’t quite comfortable with me yet, so I take things slowly. I don’t try to become the alpha dog. I understand that soon she will trust me and we will be good buddies. I am good with other dogs, and love, love, love to play. I miss having my own special family. If you have an open spot on your couch, and think that I would fit right in, please consider meeting me.” All our Warrior Dogs will have all age-appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner. Adoption fee is $525.
