About Ivy

Say hello to Ivy! “Hi everyone, my name is Ivy, and I’m just 14 pounds. I’m a pretty playful, snuggly little gal. I’m a seasoned senior, but forget my age, I can still play with the best of them, though I’ll mostly swoon you with my fluffy face and puppy eyes. My human passed away, but she really took good care of me, so here I am showing my foster mom all the things I like and dislike so I can soon find my forever home! When it comes to other animals, big dogs are a little too much for me. I prefer the smaller ones that I can play with. I enjoy having a doggy sibling in the home to share things with as well. I’ve had some interaction with children, and everything is good if they are gentle with me. I’m not sure about cats, but maybe soon we can find out. I am potty trained, and I do prefer a schedule that makes it easier to not have any accidents inside. When I go outside, I enjoy being in the yard and would prefer it be fenced in. Otherwise, I may investigate a little more than I should. I can walk on a leash for a short time, so if your yard isn’t fenced in, no worries, just make sure I’m always on a leash. Short legs don’t get me far, but I’m ok with it. I like going to the park on my walks, but if you want to walk farther, a stroller or harness to carry me will do just fine. I just love exploring and looking around. My humans let me sleep in bed, but I also have nice blankets on the floor that they make up into a bed for me. I go right in and remake it the way I want to have it. Otherwise I do like my crate, too. I can be in it if you have to leave for a bit, but I like it when my humans are around. When they’re gone a long time, I really miss them, and sometimes I cry when they leave, but as time goes on, it gets better, and I’m always so happy when they come back. I grab my toys and do zoomies to show them that I’m so excited! I do love my little toys to play with. I’m such a good girl, no matter where I go, and everyone always compliments me on my good behavior! In a nutshell, I’m goofy, playful, loving, loyal, and enjoy being close to my forever family. I can be your snuggle buddy, travel companion because I like the car rides, outdoor adventurer, and I’ll always melt in your arms. Everyone says my new forever family will be the luckiest to have me. Won’t you consider letting me be a part of your forever home? Come meet me today! My adoption fee is $300.”
