Finn – Fostered in Kansas City

Finn is a tri-color male beagle who is approximately 1 year old. He was found wandering the streets, had a collar but no tag and no chip. He is lithe, well proportioned, very athletic and loves to run. Every morning, he hunts the yard looking for the opossum that like to sneaks in. He is constantly … wanting to go out and explore and loves playing with the other dogs. I believe Finn was a family pet at one time since he knows commands such as sit, no, get down and go outside. He also knows how to fetch and return and will wear your arm out doing so. He does have a high-pitched bark and knows how to use it, usually when he is wanting to play with the cat or resident dogs. While Finn tries to play with the cats, he never attempts to harm them, just barks at them, they are just a fuzzy moving toy. With humans, he loves to cuddle and takes turns sleeping on the different human beds and particularly likes younger humans. Finn has boundless energy so he needs a home that will walk him, play with him and keep him active. I believe he would do great with a young family with young children. Bad things: Finn is a runner and bolted through the door one night. We found him mile away barking as he went. His barking can be loud and sometimes spontaneous. He does like to tear pieces of paper to shreds and last night, got hold of a full loaf of bread and ate it. He will jump up on you for attention. As stated above, Finn is very much a people dog and wants your attention. At night, as he is settling in, will moan and groan before he goes to sleep. He is very affectionate and wants to be with you. He is a very handsome beagle, almost show quality. He is mostly potty trained. I have never seen him poop inside and only once caught him attempting to mark in the house. Finn is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on shots. If interested in Finn, please apply for him.
