Duncan

About Duncan

Introducing Duncan, a true survivor! Just a few weeks ago, Duncan and his five siblings found themselves in a dire situation at the shelter, with no other options in sight. Thankfully, we were able to step in and provide them with a lifeline. Since arriving at MSHR (My Second Home Rescue), our hearts have been captivated by each and every one of these remarkable pups. Not only have they shown remarkable progress in house-training (already reaching an impressive 80-85% success rate), but their temperaments are outstanding. Despite being a lively group of six 3-month-old puppies, they display remarkable manners and intelligence. Among them, Duncan stands out as the most laid-back and easygoing. This chill dude loves to engage in play, but he’s equally content just lounging around and embracing the simple joys of life. One extraordinary thing about Duncan is his newfound love for belly rubs. Once he discovered the sheer bliss of those gentle caresses, he’d sneak up to his foster mom, roll over in her arms, and even attempt to reciprocate with a hug. Duncan is independent, relishing in yard explorations, and never fails to respond when his name is called. His intelligence is subtle yet impressive—he observed Diesel sitting down for a treat and thought, “Hey, that looks easy!” and now he’s a star at it too. Like his siblings, Duncan is a sound sleeper through the night, a true testament to his sweet nature. While we’re uncertain of his exact breed, Duncan sports a striking brindle coat reminiscent of a Plott Hound, whereas some of his siblings are solid white and bear a resemblance to Jack Russell Terriers (although they’re much larger, of course!). Whatever their genetic makeup, one thing is certain—they’re absolutely precious! My Second Home Rescue operates as a foster-home based organization located in northern Colorado.
