Tall dark and handsome Duke is a long legged pup looking for a home. He’s a gorgeous mixed breed boy. Our best guess is he’s part beagle/hound and some type of sight hound, maybe whippet? He’s about 8 months old and fully grown or nearly so at 35 lbs. He has a slim, long legged, high waisted body … and a bob tail. Duke is a playful, energetic young dog who loves everyone. He’s good with people of all ages and other dogs. Duke is already housebroken. He’s best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard and a playmate. If you’d like to meet Duke, please fill out a dog adoption application. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Duke at our weekly adoption event Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate Saturday 12-3. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care.
