Dottie

About Dottie

Say hello to Dottie! She’s a 2-year-old, 25-pound Cocker Spaniel who is looking for her forever family. Dottie was a breeder release prior to entering foster care. Since she was living in a barn, life in a home is fairly new to her. However, she is catching on fast and seems to be quite a fan of all the things this pet life has to offer. She enjoys naps on the couch, strolls around the neighborhood, and a good snuggle session. She is doing wonderfully with house breaking and rarely has an accident if kept on the schedule she’s used to. The whole crate thing didn’t work out, as this girl easily found her way right out of there. So, her foster mom has started leaving her in the bedroom when she goes out, and Dottie has let her know that’s an acceptable alternative. Though she is somewhat submissive, Dottie absolutely loves people. She’ll crawl her way over to a new friend, then excitedly wag her tail and ask for pets. She had done well with kids and is a total shadow with her foster parents. She’s never more than a few feet away. She is living with both cats and dogs in her foster home. She was initially nervous of the big Great Pyrenees in the home, but now she’s one of Dottie’s favorite snuggle buddies. We don’t want to rule out homes with big dogs, but just want to prepare them for a slight adjustment period as Dottie will need a minute to realize they mean her no harm. Animals her size or smaller are no problem for Dottie. She is a sensitive girl, so she absolutely needs an owner who is kind and patient. Aside from that, she doesn’t require a whole lot. Just a nice, warm spot on the couch, and she’ll have hit the jackpot. Apply for this precious dog today!
