Chester

It has been one month since Chester came to our little rescue and we are excited to announce we are accepting applications! A little bit about Chester, this 11lb Chihuahua was found as a stray in Pasco County. Covered in fleas and with rotting teeth the shelter vets estimated he was around 15 years … old. Our vet was able to quickly get him in for a dental and removed every single one of his teeth. That’s right, he is completely toothless! Though our vet couldn’t pinpoint an exact age, she agreed he was a senior and we feel he is likely closer to 10-12 but your guess is as good as ours. Chester enjoys others dogs but would likely do best in a home without cats, unless your cats enjoy being chased and barked at. He wants nothing more than to sit next to you on the couch, crawling in your lap to cuddle or gets some hugs, and cover you in kisses. At night he’s ready to curl up in bed under the blankets with you. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, this is your guy! Chester was not house broken when he came to us and has made great progress but can have accidents when not let out frequently enough. However, he is perfect when in his crate during the day and wants nothing more than to snooze in a good dog bed.
