Charlie is currently in foster near Tacoma, Washington. He is a 7-month-old Basset Hound/ Lab mix, about 30 pounds. He is a fun loving puppy who will thrive with love, attention and training. He loves humans, cuddling and being with his people. He loves comfy beds and chews toys! Charlie would do … best in a home as an only pet or in a home with another youngish, high energy dog that is at least his size or bigger than him. He could use some doggie socialization training to improve his doggie manners and communication. If with a dog who is still very active 1-3 or so it would be great if that dog assists in his training as well, although he’s fine as an only dog. He sees small dogs as prey; he is mouthy. NO apartments. NO condos/townhomes. Bassetts are noisy dogs and he is no exception. This is a posting for L & S Dog Diggity Rescue. You can fill out and application online. SHANYE’S FOSTERS is a group of foster parents in the Olympia/Tumwater area. We foster dogs for rescues and assist them in adopting/rehoming of their pups/dogs by listing on this site. Many dogs posted here are available to pre-adopt NOW directly from the rescue. The only ones in foster in the NW specifically state that. We have very few fosters so most need to be pre-adopted. All adoption fees go towards rescuing more dogs in need. No one receives a salary. Shayne’s Fosters is not responsible for any experience you have with any dog you might see posted on this site. They are the property of the sponsoring rescue who will supply all medical supporting records which is given with each dog when adopted. Our adoption fees cover all medical costs to make sure the pups are appropriately vaccinated, micro-chipped, dewormed, and spayed/ neutered. It also covers the cost of transportation from Texas and the necessary health certificate documentation. The fees also include a negative heart-worm test for any dogs over 6 months. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and a myriad of other vetting. If the adoption fees seem high (which never cover the true cost of rescue), we recommend fostering for a good rescue. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees.
