Caspian

Caspian is about 10 months old and is very special in so many ways. Caspian was born without eyes (he is blind), but has blossomed into an amazing Aussie while in his foster home. He came to us as a stray dumped near a high kill shelter in Alabama. After a lucky flight to Florida, he has learned so … much about life. Caspian is a sweet, sweet boy and because of his vision, he prefers to be with his person all the time. He does feel safe in a crate at night in the same room as his person and also does great sleeping on the bed all night. A potential adopter will need to be able to stay home with him- so a work from home situation would be ideal. Caspian does great with cats and other submissive dogs – in fact he prefers a smaller female playmate. He does fine around cats as well since he can’t see them. Caspian has amazing hearing and the sounds he hears impact his behavior. He will need a quiet home, preferably no small children and very little activity. If he is overstimulated he spins in circles. Caspian will thrive in a home where he can continue to receive specialized training. He would be ideal Aussie for apartment living, with his smaller size (27lbs) and his desire to just be snuggled up with his person; he would be content to take multiple potty breaks and leash walks with his person. Also, a securely fenced area for him to play off leash is a must. This guy is so sweet and trusting and loving, it’s hard to believe he had such a ruff start!
