Although still a puppy, he’s dedicated to mastering his potty training, making impressive strides with a little patience and the right motivation (hint: treats are his weakness!). Like any young lab, Butters may vocalize his boredom or need to go outside, but he’s simply trying to communicate his desires the best way he knows how. With the guidance of confident leaders, Butters thrives and is eager to become the best version of himself. Training sessions with him are an absolute delight, as his enthusiasm is fueled by tasty rewards. Butters is a social butterfly with a playful spirit, although he’s learning that not all dogs have the same play style as him. His upcoming neutering procedure will assist in refining his manners even further. When it comes to car rides, Butters is a natural, but for safety reasons, he needs to be buckled up—he may have aspirations of being your co-pilot otherwise! While he’s still working on his leash skills, a firm handler who can provide guidance without being pulled around is essential. Butters is a bundle of energy, always ready for an adventure, especially if water is involved. He’s a fetch extraordinaire, happy to retrieve balls and ropes as long as you’re willing to throw them. Given his high energy levels, Butters would thrive in a family that can provide ample exercise and embrace his exuberant and affectionate nature. Ideally, a home with older children (10 and up) would be best suited for him due to his size and enthusiastic spirit. Butters gets along splendidly with big dogs over 70 lbs and is quite at ease in the company of cats. A spacious yard would be his personal paradise, granting him the freedom to run and explore to his heart’s content.
