Benson

About Benson

Benson is a 4lb adorable 8-week-old puppy that is full of energy and lots of love. Benson was being surrendered by his owner to the local shelter but thankfully one of our fantastic volunteers was there at that time, intervened and took him in before he stepped foot inside a shelter kennel – ultimately saving his life! Benson is the goofiest, most energetic little puppy there ever was. He has not idea that he is so little. His favorite friend in his foster home is his 100lb Great Dane/Mastiff mix foster brother. Benson absolutely loves running outside with the 5-month-old foster in his home. It definitely helps burn each other’s energy which results in some nice long naps afterwards. He is still learning how to understand warning signs from other dogs so he would need a home with other playful dogs like him or he would be ok as an only dog with lots of attention. Benson does try to play with his foster kitty siblings and although most of them just sit up high enough so he can’t reach them there is one that allows him to wrestle around with him. Benson hasn’t mastered potty training quite yet but he has very few accidents! He will sit by the back door and whine if he needs to go out on most occasions. He is also working on crate training. After a couple minutes of whining and trying to use his cuteness to get out of the crate he will curl up and sleep through the night. If you are looking for a playful, absolutely adorable little puppy (I mean look at how cute that little dot on his nose is!!!) – look no further! Benson is your boy! To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application. It doesn’t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don’t get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue! Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Pacific Northwest… with stops in – Lacey, WA, Tukwila, WA, and Portland, OR. These dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. Our out of state adoption fee is $550 for adults and $650 for puppies. This fee includes: age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm and flea preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, insurance for 30 days, microchip with registration, health certificate, and transport costs. As a Saving Hope direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call. The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport. Out-of-town pets are cared for by non-local organizations who can make arrangements for the pet to be transported to your area.
