Asiago

About Asiago

In partnership with BeFreegle Foundation we’re excited to welcome three Beagle boys to Adopt A Dog! Asiago, Onion, and Everything Bagel were recently retired from biomedical research to begin their new leash on life. These boys, all about 2 years old, are happy, healthy, and love people and other dogs! They will need some time to get settled and begin exploring their new world. We’re excited to see their personalities shine! First up, introducing Asiago! “If you’re looking for a four-legged companion who will keep you entertained 24/7, then look no further. I’m here to brighten your days with my infectious energy and my oh-so-adorable beagle antics! Interests: Scent Sniffer. Extraordinaire: Beagles are famous for their incredible noses, and I’m no exception! I can sniff out treats, toys from miles away. Just follow my nose, and we’ll have a blast exploring together! Party Animal: I’ve got a wild side that’s always ready to party! Playtime, zoomies, and tail-wagging celebrations are my specialties. Let’s have a paw-some time together! Qualifications: Beagle Brilliance: I’ve got that classic beagle charm and intelligence that will win your heart in no time. You’ll be amazed by my problem-solving skills and my ability to turn any situation into a fun-filled adventure! Potty Progress: Minimal accidents here! I’m almost potty trained and quickly learning that business is for outside only. Lap Dog in Training: I’m currently working on my lap dog certification. Once I pass, I’ll be the perfect snuggle buddy for all your Netflix binging sessions! Goals: My dream is to find a family who appreciates my sense of humor and my lovable beagle quirks. If you’re ready for a lifetime of laughter, adventures, and beagle shenanigans, then let’s make this adoption paw-sible!” Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our amazing rescue dogs – we can’t wait to help you find your new best friend! The first step in getting started with our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application. We welcome you to come visit our shelter! Meet & greets will be set up by appointment once your application has been received & processed. Asiago is 2 years old and weighs 30 lbs. Adoption fee: Puppies up to 1 year: $550. Young Adult (1-4 years): $475. Adult (4-7 years): $400. Senior (8+ years): $300. Health: Puppies are up to date on age-appropriate core vaccines so far (adopter will be responsible for remaining vaccinations if applicable), spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and dewormed. If the dog you are adopting is not yet spayed/neutered at the time of adoption, we require a $150 deposit in addition to the adoption fee (to be refunded upon proof of surgery within 6 months of adoption). Please note that we are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog’s physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. We rarely know a dog’s exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is often limited. We encourage you to consider individual personality rather than relying on a label meeting a dog in person is the best way to make sure it’s love! The first step in adopting an AAD dog is to fill out an application. Once we receive your application, one of our application processors will contact you, and answer any questions you may have. We will also ask for additional information if needed (landlord or veterinarian contact information, or other based on your application). Once an application has been approved, we will schedule a mutually convenient time for a meet & greet! We do not operate on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the dog. You must be age 25 or older to apply to adopt. If you live in a home with other people (ie parents, relatives) the person who will be financially responsible for the care of the dog should be the one to fill out the application. Meet and greets will be scheduled once your adoption application has been fully processed by one of our adoption processors. Please be sure to fill out the application as thoroughly as possible, as we want to make sure we find you the perfect match! If you have any additional questions that have not been answered, please e-mail [email protected]!
