Amelia

About Amelia

One-year-old Amelia had been dumped at a Houston kill shelter with an injured leg. She waited there to be euthanized, since the shelter is at maximum capacity. Home Run Hounds Animal Rescue, Inc. and a wonderful foster made sure her life would be spared. We got her out of that shelter and into her foster home. Her foster mom has been making sure to bring her to all of her orthopedic visits and now Amelia is on her way to having a healthy leg. In a few weeks, she will make her way up north to NY to be with another awesome foster while we find her the perfect home! Amelia is around 40 Lbs. She is terrific with other dogs and really loves to play. She is also so gentle and sweet with her foster mom’s 3-year-old granddaughter. She listens to “off” when she excitedly jumps and then just follows the little girl around and kiss her. Amelia knows “sit”. She is crate trained and very treat motivated, which makes her easily trainable for other commands. We are accepting applications now for Amelia! Apply for her today!
