Home Dog Adoption 0347 Shelley

About 0347 Shelley

Shelley is fostered in Ottumwa, Iowa. Sweet Shelley is approximately 3-1/2 years old and came to us from an Amish breeding facility. Shelley is a black tri Australian Shepherd, weighing approximately 30 lbs. While Shelly is a sweet girl, she is shy and timid and will require a patient, Aussie savvy adopter who is familiar with working with dogs that are more on the shy side. She is super sweet and loves other dogs. In fact, she has a “comfort” dog at her foster home, who also happens to operate a doggie daycare. She would be best in the home with another very confident dog. Shelley will require a physically fenced yard. She is okay simply laying by your feet and watching her surroundings. She loves to be right beside her people. She is okay with cats. She is house trained and crate trained. She does need to stay on a regular schedule for the housetraining. She is a medium energy girl and would do best in a calmer environment. No children under the age of 15 as kids and fast movements scare her. She has been working on leash training. She goes to doggie daycare most days, which is helping to build her confidence. She is enjoying the attention she is receiving in her foster home. Shelley is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations and micro-chipped. She is receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms. (Proof of this for current pets is required to adopt.) If you feel you have what it takes for Shelley to grow and blossom, please complete an adoption application.
