Kooper

Check out Kooper! This dear senior dog is new to the rescue program. He is a 12-year-old poodle and weighs 15 pounds. Kooper’s family was no longer able to provide proper care and surrendered him to our rescue program. We are grateful to help this lovely old dog find a wonderful forever home. He’s … only been with us a short time but so far he’s proven to be a gentle and sweet dog. He is affectionate and loves attention. Kooper is well mannered in the home. He is housetrained but his foster family take him out often for bathroom breaks. He is not left alone for long hours. Kooper is a quiet dog – he may have some hearing issues as he does not always respond to his name and only seems to react to loud noises. He can definitely hear dog that are barking on his walks. Kooper can manage the stairs but is hesitant going down. He seems to have some sensitivity in his back-end but you would never know it from the way he loves to chase toys and go for walks. He gets very excited when he sees his leash. Kooper gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is respectful of other dogs and is not reactive. When he sees dogs walking by his foster home he gets excited and wants to say hello! Kooper travels nicely in the car. Kooper recently had a full geriatric blood test and it was normal. He is negative for heart worm and tick borne diseases. He is up to date on his vaccinations and is micro-chipped. Apply to meet this precious dog today!
