ZOEY

About ZOEY

Zoey is a lovely girl who loves being enamored with her person. She is a bit on the shy side though when it comes to meeting new people. Zoey prefers to only hang around her favorite people, and is not that dog who wants to meet every person in the room 10 times over. She isn’t overly anxious, but is definitely shy with strangers. Once you win her heart over, the game is over. She’s committed to life, and will adore you forever! She has a natural response to recall, and any formal training will make her that much better. Zoey could easily be a velcro dog without the neediness of a velcro pup. She can engage you with her eyes, and consciously connects with you. It’s the best feeling in the world! Zoey was most likely dumped, which is sadly very common here in Texas. We get the impression her experience with humans was not a positive one. It took time, but we were able to catch her after she had been running around the neighborhood for about a month with her friend, Joey (also available for adoption). While Zoey was not a worst case scenario (by Texas standards), she was not in great shape either. The good news though is she is happy & healthy now. She loves to play & run around, and gets very excited whenever there is an opportunity for a canine playmate. Any shyness she might have with humans, totally dissipates with other pups. She gets very excited and eager to meet other pups. “ZOE ZOE” is very playful and in general gets along great with other dogs. Zoey is pleasant to have around. She is very patient, and has been ok spending much of the time in her crate without complaint. Her life with her foster is more than she ever thought possible. It is evident she is grateful and cherishes what she has. She is deserving, and we are very excited for the possibility of taking her to the next level of joy and happiness with her own family (where she is not having to share her attention with a million other pups). Zoey is crate-trained, is in the process of house-training, and requires some work on the leash. Overall, she is a fabulous girl, and a slight bit of obedience training will make her more awesome. She’s food motivated too, which makes training a breeze! If you’d like to invite this pretty girl into your life, she would love a backyard to zoom around in, a leash to go out on walks with, and a person(s) to hang out at home with. Zoey is about 3 years old, and has only had a taste of what’s great in life. We would love for her to have the full experience of a happy and engaging life. So if you are the one to love your pet like family, where she would be well-integrated within your lifestyle, we would love to have a conversation with you!
