Wooley

About Wooley

Sadly, Wooley’s owners had to surrender him to our Kamloops branch as they were evacuees of the fires and were not able to find pet friendly housing. He’s a friendly, playful and active dog looking for an active home to settle into. Being a northern breed that was transferred to the lower mainland, he would be best suited to live on a piece of property in a quieter area than the busy city. In his previous home he had indoor/outdoor access. Wooley has been known to jump fences so a securely high fenced yard is a must. Any dog whose needs are met should not want to escape and this boy requires plenty of exercise and playtime. He’s highly excitable and occasionally nervous and or protective. These behaviors as well as, loose leash walking can be managed by an experienced owner who can work with him. Once his needs are met, Wooley enjoys relaxing in the comfort of his home. He doesn’t do well at off leash dog parks so he should be introduced to other dogs properly and slowly and rewarded for positive interactions. Overall, Wooley is a lovely dog that will thrive in the right home! Do you think you could be Wooley’s person? Come and meet this adorable dog!
