Winnie’s journey began as a brave stray mother who found herself in a small Georgia shelter, where she lovingly raised eight precious puppies. … It was no small feat, but Winnie truly rocked motherhood! Though another rescue was willing to take the puppies, they couldn’t accommodate Winnie, so our rescue stepped in. We have a soft spot for underdogs, you see! With some tender loving care and successfully overcoming heartworms, Winnie has blossomed into an absolute gem. Weighing 60 lbs, she’s a bundle of pure love and snuggles. And yes, she’s got that classic pibble nibble that pittie parents adore! But don’t worry, Winnie is not a high-maintenance dog. She enjoys leisurely walks, preferably no more than 1.5 miles, followed by delightful cuddle sessions and epic naps. While Winnie adores playing with the seven other resident dogs, we recommend that she be the only dog in her new home to avoid any potential food-related squabbles. We, as experienced foster parents, can handle it, but we understand that not everyone is comfortable managing multiple dogs. Fear not, though—Winnie is a crate champ! She adores her crate and even tucks herself in at night. However, in her forever home, she’d likely prefer to cuddle with her beloved human even more! Winnie’s ideal family is one that sees beyond breed stereotypes and appreciates her for the incredible, loving dog she truly is. It may take her some time to adjust to her new environment, as we are likely the only family she has known for “a good life.” But we promise you, she is worth the wait!
