Trace

About Trace

Trace’s story is very sad, but it has turned around to a much better story since he has been at PALS. Trace came to us on Monday evening December 26, 2022 in very, very poor condition. He was brought in by someone saying he wondered onto their property. They saw a little note attached to his collar saying… “Hello my name is Dayne. My parents cannot keep me as we are in a very bad situation; if you find me please help me find me a new home with lots of love that I deserve.” This broke our hearts! We couldn’t believe how skinny he was… all of his ribs and bones were showing. This poor guy was starved to death. The next day we took him straight to the vet. He weighed a whole 51 pounds. We were all hands on deck working around the clock 24/7 to help this guy. On January 3, 2023 he went back to the vet for a weight check and he gained 11 pounds, now a total of 62 pounds! He was already looking better. He went back for another weigh in on January 10, 2023 and he had gained another 7 pounds which brought him to 69 pounds. As of today we know he is at least 75ish pounds because he is looking on point. He will be going back for another weigh in this week. With all the loving care from the volunteers we are so happy to say that he is finally ready for adoption. Since he has been nursed back to health his big happy personality is really showing. He loves people, very gentle, seems great with other animals, loves stuffed animals and of course loves to eat. This guy needs a very loving family to continue the love we have showed him here at the shelter the rest of his doggie life. He needs to be treated like a king which he very much deserves. His life was ruff, but now it’s time for a new beginning for Mr. Trace. Please come meet this special boy before he gets adopted into his forever loving home! Trace’s $200 adoption fee is quite inclusive. He is neutered, vaccinated up-to-date, micro-chipped, wormed & current on monthly heartworm preventative. Trace’s estimated date of birth is 12/26/2020. Current weight is approx. 69 lbs. Call 636-338-1818 to schedule an appointment to meet this pet or any others here at the shelter.
