Timmy is now in foster. Timmy is a 12-year-old 10 lb. Yorkie that doesn’t act his age. He is currently doing well in a foster home! His foster mom says Timmy is dog friendly, but prefers a dog friend that will coexist with him, as Timmy does not prefer to play. She says Timmy took a few days to … settle in, and wants potential adopters to know Timmy did want to mark his first few days in foster. She says he should be taken out to potty frequently. Timmy also prefers to not have his personal space invaded; he will do better if you let him come to you, as opposed to you wanting to pick him up, as he does not like his beard, paws, and back end touched. But he will come to you to snuggle! It’s also important to note that Timmy’s eyesight is beginning to decline. A home without small children would be best for Timmy! He is in need of a dental, his teeth definitely show his age, and will receive one prior to adoption. Timmy has lived with another dog so though to be dog friendly. Timmy does not like to be vetted and will likely need to be muzzled at the vet’s office so any adopter should be aware of his behavior at the vet. He can also be sensitive about his feet being touched so a home without small children would be best. Once you get past those specific concerns, Timmy is a great senior dog who is a typical yorkie.
