Styx

About Styx

Styx is 12 years old and weighs 57lbs. He is good with dogs, cats and kids. He has medium to high energy. Applications need to be approved before a meet and greet will be set up for any Fetching Hearts Rescue dogs. This handsome loving guy was a stray and brought to the shelter in Tennessee. Sadly nobody ever came looking for Styx. This guy has been waiting for his family and nobody has shown him interest, so Fetching Hearts Rescue took him and said we would find him his forever. Styx is going to make a fantastic family member. He loves everyone and anything. What a gentle soul he is with kids and has a great personality with dogs and cats. Styx will play nice with all and then when he is ready to chill out, he will lay down like a frog and relax. He enjoys peanut butter popsicles on a hot day. Styx will enjoy riding in the car with his family going on vacation or going to the lake for a day of relaxation or playtime. Styx loves his toys and bones, so please make sure to have those available for him. He would do best most likely in a fenced yard, so he could run and explore as he likes to do. Don’t miss out on this handsome, loving and awesome guy!!! Styx cannot wait to meet you and join the family forever!!! Apply for him today!!! He is way past due on finding his forever home!!! Unless otherwise indicated, all dogs adopted through Fetching Hearts have received the following before being available for adoption: thorough veterinary examination, all routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, deworming, microchip, Flea and Tick Prevention, Heartworm Prevention, and spay/neuter. All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don’t break with disease. VETTING NOTE: Fetching Hearts Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward. HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
