Spartan

Spartan is the definition of a companion. He is a loyal and gentle friend who loves to go on adventures in the car, cuddle on the couch, and play and explore outside with his loved ones. He is friendly towards all people and dogs, and doesn’t seem to mind cats. Despite being very sweet, it would … not be recommended to have a home with very small children, since he is an older dog with somewhat weak hips. He needs a patient and understanding owner, as he has proven to only respond to gentle correction. He is eager to please, and willing to learn new things, as long as he receives lots of warm praise in response. Spartan was on a long term prednisone treatment with his previous owner, which has caused some muscle wasting, which is reversible with a steady, nutritious diet, and light exercise. Spartan is a male Boxer/Staffordshire mix, 8 years old and about 75-80 pounds. He is vetted, neutered and Heartworm negative.
