Shorty is 8 years old, medium sized and currently 40 ish lbs. Shorty came to rescue after being tied outside at grandma’s house. The grandson could no longer take care of his dog so he dumped her on grandma who tied her to a tree with a large collar and a short chain. Time outside Shorty came to … the shelter with chipped teeth, covered in fleas and heartworm positive. Shorty has completed heartworm treatment and is now looking to be part of a family again. Shorty is full of fun energy. She enjoys playing with the other dogs in her foster home. You would not think she was a senior, her gray muzzle and teeth say otherwise. She is crate trained but would rather be with her family. She walks well on leash. She enjoys car rides and puppy treats. Adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, micro-chipped, and treated for heartworms. She will need to continue monthly heartworm prevention for the rest of her life.
