Shera

Shera’s back and better than ever!! This gorgeous girlie took a break from adoption applications while we worked on her skin allergies and treated a small jaw tumor. You would never know by glancing at her that a portion of her lower jaw has been removed. She doesn’t notice either! Dogs are … amazing. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this gorgeous, 3-year-old female Catahoula mix! She is a perfect 50lbs and so athletic. Those legs! She loves to play zoomies with another dog and is gentle with her favorite toys. She is crate trained and prefers her bed to furniture. She already knows several commands and is improving on her leash skills every day. She would be so very happy to have a playful, dog buddy in her new home. That smile! With her new diet and regular baths her skin and coat are beautiful! This will require commitment from her new family to keep her on track but so easy to do! Those ears! We have had the luxury of spending the last several weeks with Shera while she recovered from surgery and she has shown us she is happiest with a regular schedule and lots of human time for physical exercise and mental stimulation and thrives in the company of another well balanced dog. Because of her strict diet and learning a calm routine and because she is learning to not jump up to say hello we feel it’s best for her to be in a home with older children. A tall, fenced in secured yard is a must. Shera has shown us that she is as agile as a deer and her curiosity gets the best of her. She was a dream to foster with a 6ft fenced yard. She genuinely wants to be with her people but those chipmunks and squirrels tease! We are so excited we were able to help Shera get the treatment she needed thanks to our supporters. Now let’s find her the perfect home for her needs!
