Scamp

About Scamp

Scamp is a 12-year-old Yorkie mix with lots of quirky personality packed into a 12-pound body. Scamp came to the rescue as an owner surrender when his person could no longer care for him. Being separated from his person was very traumatic for Scamp so he will require lots of time, love and patience to adjust. Scamp loves to go for long walks and spend time outside. He enjoys snuggling and being brushed. He was always the only dog in the house but does get along with other dogs and cats. He startles easily at loud noises and sudden movements. He does not like being approached from the left or from over his head and does not like being scooped up quickly. For these reasons, he cannot be in a house with children. Feeding Scamp is a bit like having a picky toddler. He eats what he wants, when he wants and that can change on a daily basis. Be prepared to microwave his food, have him eat out of your hand instead of a bowl, and have 13 different containers of food that he liked yesterday but refuses to eat today. Scamp is crate trained, walks well on a leash and is 99% housebroken. He is neutered, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines and preventions. His adoption fee is $275. If you think Scamp would be a good fit for you, please fill out an application.
